The process of initial free registration into the Uglii Systems includes entering business location details. After the registration is submitted, the business will receive a confirmation and welcome email from the Uglii Systems which includes an activation link.
When the business clicks on this activation link, their business listing in the Uglii Systems will be activated and a Standard Black Uglii will be created for the business using the location information entered during registration. The business user will then be taken to the Uglii Find control screen where they can:

Maps
Users can choose their preferred map set in the Uglii Find System globally. In developed economies where several good map sets are available, this facility is mainly a matter of personal preference of the style or brand.
In many less developed economies however, where some of the larger map sets are inadequate, it is important that users can switch to the most comprehensive map set for the region. Generally, the default map set for any region will be the most comprehensive.
Registration
Uglii has a de-centralised system for registration where it has appointed a large number of Uglii Affiliates in each economy to take business registrations. Each Uglii Affiliate has an Uglii Search and Registration Panel on their website. To register, a business can go to an Uglii Affiliate website, click on the register button and complete the online registration process. If a business does not know of an Uglii Affiliate, it can choose one in its country of operation from the Uglii.com website.
No, it is a simple 2 step process.
STEP 1: Business Details.
Complete the business details including Business Number in the online form. The last page is a summary of all information included which needs to be checked. Read the Terms & Conditions, check the Agree box and submit the registration.
A confirmation email will then be sent with an activation link.
STEP 2: Activation & discovery information
Click on the Activation link in the email and immediately the first Uglii Dot will be created using the location information included in the first step and the Uglii Find wizard will open. Confirm the business and location details. Add keywords & UB Codes for better discovery. Include Logo Image, Trading Hours and Payment Accepted Options and the Standard Uglii process is complete.
There is also the ability to add additional Uglii Dots for other business or branch locations or upgrade Standard Uglii Dots to either a Premium Uglii or Ultimate Uglii.
Registering is free and simple. You just need to log on the registering page and fill in all the required details.
Yes, any legitimate business that is a legal entity in its country of operation can register in the Uglii Systems.
No, the Uglii Systems are designed to provide users with a higher degree of veracity than other directories so all businesses must verify that they are who they say they are to be included in the Uglii Systems. Verification in many countries requires a Business Registration Number.
Specific verification requirements are detailed for each country. The principle of verification is always be upheld however, the method differs from country to country because of the diverse business laws and government infrastructure across the world. No. The only way a business can register into the Uglii Systems is through the registration website of an Authorised Uglii Affiliate. A business cannot register directly with SISS, Global or National Partner.
If an existing business does not know or has not yet been notified about the Uglii Systems by an Uglii Affiliate, there is an Uglii Affiliate finder for all countries at Uglii.com. An Affiliate search can be undertaken by location or industry group.
After a business has been activated and the Uglii Find Wizard process is complete, registered users will be taken to the Business Control Panel. Each business has an individual Control Panel with login access where it can edit business and product information, manage keywords and UB Codes, add or upgrade Uglii Services, request Uglii B2B and B2C Offers, receive notifications and web traffic reports and a lot more.
The Control Panel gives registered businesses easy access and total control over its listing in the Uglii Systems.
A business remains listed in the Uglii Systems for as long as the information is maintained and up to date and any fee based Uglii Services (if applicable) are paid.
Businesses will be prompted by email to logon at least every six months to check that its information is current. If a listing is not maintained there is a risk that it will be first downgraded to a Grey Uglii Dot where the information is deemed unreliable and then removed. This is to ensure all business information in the Uglii Systems is current.
Yes. A business can create an Uglii Dot for each outlet / office / branch it has. Additional Uglii Dots can be created by logging on to the business Control Panel, clicking on the Manage My Ugliis button and following the prompts.
